Children engaged in a classroom activity
The framework

The tech diet, the dolphin classroom, the green operating system.

Three simple mental models your students will actually remember. Healthy tech, junk tech, toxic tech. A firm yet flexible classroom culture. A nervous system that's ready to learn instead of stuck in survival mode.

  • The Tech Diet language A vocabulary your students will actually use. Healthy, junk, toxic. Simple enough for kindergarten, deep enough for grade 8.
  • The Dolphin Friend classroom model Co-created norms, restorative repair, and a posted "digital promise" your class signs together.
  • Grade-banded activities for K-2, 3-5, and 6-8 Every concept ships with adaptations, so a kindergarten teacher and a grade 8 teacher both walk away with something useable.

Picture the shift

Imagine a classroom where students can actually focus again.

No daily battles over phones. Calm transitions instead of chaotic ones. Students who can name what they're feeling and choose a healthier reset, instead of reaching for the device. A class culture where the rules were co-created, so the rules actually get followed.

That's not theory. It's what teachers who apply the tech diet method see within a few weeks, even imperfectly. Your students don't need a perfect teacher. They need a confident one with a framework.

What educators say

Real classrooms, real shifts.

From kindergarten teachers to middle school admins, here's what's changing once the tech diet shows up in school.

★★★★★
"The tech norms template alone saved me a week of behaviour management. My grade 4s co-wrote our digital promise and they actually follow it. First year I haven't lost the room mid-laptop lesson."
MR
Megan R.
Grade 4 teacher · Vancouver
★★★★★
"The two minute reset is now part of every period. I have grade 7s asking for it. The course gave me language and lesson plans I would have spent a whole summer building from scratch."
DK
Devon K.
Grade 7 teacher · Toronto
★★★★★
"I'm a kindergarten teacher and I was nervous this would feel too clinical. It doesn't. The K-2 adaptations work, my students get the healthy versus junk versus toxic idea, and parents are asking me what I'm using."
AL
Ana L.
Kindergarten teacher · Seattle
★★★★★
"We rolled this out across all eight K-8 classrooms. The shared vocabulary across grades is the biggest win. A grade 2 student and a grade 7 student can have the same conversation about screen time."
JT
Jordan T.
Principal · Calgary
★★★★★
"The AI literacy module is gold. I now know how to talk to my students about ChatGPT, citations, and academic integrity, in a way they don't shut down at. Worth the subscription by itself."
PS
Priya S.
Grade 8 ELA teacher · NYC
★★★★★
"The PD certificate counted toward my district's annual requirement and I actually learned something for once. The community calls feel like having a brain trust to text on a hard Monday."

Common questions

Questions teachers and admins ask most.

How long does the full course take?

The video content runs over 6 hours across 8 modules, plus the lesson plans and resources you'll work through at your own pace. Most teachers finish the core videos across a single PD weekend, or one module per week over a term.

Which grades does it cover?

Kindergarten through grade 8. Every module ships with grade-banded lesson plans for K-2, 3-5, and 6-8, so a kindergarten teacher and a grade 8 teacher both walk away with content they can use immediately.

Will the PD certificate count for my district?

The certificate is a Certificate of Completion issued by Future Ready Minds, signed by Dr. Shimi Kang and Elyse Cochrane. Many districts accept it for professional development hours, but acceptance varies. We recommend confirming with your PD coordinator before enrolling, and we can provide a course outline for their review on request.

Can my school or district purchase access in bulk?

Yes. We offer bulk licensing for schools, districts, and boards, with discounts based on seat count. Contact us through the footer for a quote, including a custom onboarding plan and shared admin dashboard.

What's the difference between Tier 1 and Tier 2?

Tier 1 ($19/mo or $199/yr) gives you the full 8 module course, the educator ebook, the monthly community call, and the resource library. Tier 2 ($49/mo or $499/yr) adds the AI Teacher Chatbot with safety guardrails, a digital copy of The Tech Solution by Dr. Shimi Kang, an onboarding session, one private coaching session per month, and bonus tokens for in-person PD.

What is the AI Teacher Chatbot in Tier 2?

It's a classroom safe assistant trained on the course content, with voice mode and built-in safety guardrails for educator use. You can ask it for grade-banded activity ideas, lesson scaffolds, parent communication drafts, and more. It's designed to support your judgment, not replace it.

Is there a free option?

Yes. The free Lesson Plan Pack is a real sample of the curriculum you can teach this week, no credit card required. It also includes a free intro webinar with Dr. Kang and Elyse.

What if it's not the right fit?

You can cancel anytime from your account. Subscriptions stop at the end of the current billing period. We also stand behind the course with a 14 day refund window on first-time subscriptions.

Is there a version for parents?

Yes. The Healthy Tech Solution for Parents is the home edition of this work. View the parent edition.
